Turning the key and hearing nothing, or just a weak click, is one of the most frustrating things that can happen before a ride. Most of the time the cause is simpler than it seems.
Where to Look First
A drained or corroded battery connection is the most common culprit, followed by a faulty DESS key, a blown fuse or a safety lanyard that is not properly seated.
When It's Not the Battery
If the battery is fine and it still won't start, the ECU may be blocking ignition due to a stored fault. The M-JET DIAGNOSTIC tool reads that fault directly so you know exactly what is stopping the engine from starting.
