The iDF system was introduced starting with model year 2021 and has been rolled out gradually across Sea-Doo's lineup since then, which means not every Sea-Doo on the water has it, and not every model year of the same nameplate is affected the same way.
In general, iDF has appeared primarily on higher-output and touring-oriented platforms such as the GTX, RXT, and Fish Pro lines, alongside select Wake and Explorer models, as BRP expanded the feature to more of its 2021-and-newer range. Entry-level and older pre-2021 models typically do not have the system at all.
Because the exact rollout varies by model year and trim, the most reliable way to confirm whether your specific craft has iDF is to check the owner's manual for your VIN, look for a dedicated iDF button near the reverse control, or ask your dealer to confirm using the model and serial number.
