With the Sea-Doo 325, there are essentially two ways to bypass the factory speed limiter. Both lead to the same goal but differ significantly in their implementation and daily use.
Method 1: Permanently installed add-on module
A classic SCOM-like module is permanently installed between the GPS antenna and the control unit and remains in the vehicle forever. It constantly sends manipulated speed values so that the software believes the limit has not been reached. Disadvantage: additional wiring, constant risk of a loose connection, and one more component that can fail.
Method 2: One-time unlock
The M-JET Speed Limit Remover is briefly connected to the diagnostic connector, the unlock is done once via the app, and then the device can be removed again. No continuous operation, no additional cables in the cockpit. Anyone familiar with both methods almost always chooses the one-time solution in practice.
