Limp Mode puts your Sea-Doo into a protective mode with greatly reduced performance. This is annoying, but usually not a total loss. Instead, it's a clear indication of a specific error in the system.
Typical triggers for protective mode
Most often, problems with temperature, oil pressure, boost pressure, or throttle body adaptation are behind it. A loose plug contact or a weak battery can also cause the ECU to switch to safe mode, even if there's nothing broken with the engine itself.
How to find the cause yourself
With M-JET DIAGNOSTIC, you can read the fault memory directly on the water and see live which sensor value triggered the mode. This often saves you the initial trip to the workshop, which usually consists of exactly this read-out process.
